Our Venison and Bison Dog Bones Meet the Highest Standards

Joe is a degreed biologist and he also has a veterinarian on staff who has input on the types of venison bones that we use and how we make them.  Then, Joe always inspects the finished product.  Every smoked dog bone that we sell is examined individually by hand to make sure that it meets our high quality standards. 

We use only the safest natural venison bones for your dogs.  There are several bones that make up the front and back legs of animals but we discard several of them because we believe that they are not safe for your dog.  Where some of the lower leg bones attach together, there are smaller bones that complete the joint.  Sometimes, leg bones are sold with these smaller bones still attached; dogs can bite off and swallow these smaller bones without chewing them.  These bones are not easily digested and can cause digestive blockage.  We have seen these bones being sold at some stores and we just shake our heads.  We have also seen other venison bones being sold online that are represented as "femurs" and "femur heads"...and they are not properly represented.  At Venison Joe's, we know our bones!  We can recognize every part of every bone and we promise that we won't misrepresent our bones or which part of the leg they are from.  The bones that we use are solid bones that are selected for their ability to become the absolute best and safest bones for your dog to chew and enjoy.  Rest assured that the types of dog bones and the quality of dog bones that you get from Venison Joe's will be the best available anywhere.  We're proud of that.

We receive our Texas Bison bones from a first class facility that is both USDA certified and EU certified.  All of the bison that are used to make our products are free range, grass fed Texas Bison.  The bones are top notch and virtually indestructable.  You can't go wrong with these bones for your larger dogs.

How We're Different

Once you have a chance to see our smoked venison and bison bones, you'll immediately notice the difference from our smoked bones and store bought bones. 

Most of the bones that you see and buy in stores are mass produced beef and pork bones that are dipped or basted in liquid smoke and roasted or cooked in ovens.  The bones are completely dried to remove all of the moisture, making them able to be stored in shrink wrap for long periods of time.  This is because they could sit in a warehouse for months and then transported several times until ultimately delivered to a store shelf.  

Venison Joe's smoked dog bones are fresh and 100% all natural.  We work with smaller quantities of bones and take just the right amount of time to provide you with a fresher product with superior quality.  We take our raw bones from the freezer and put them into an actual smoker where we use real wood and real smoke.  The bones are smoked to perfection to make a fresh chew bone for your dog.  The meat that is left on the bone is turned into a dried jerky style meat.  Once the smoking process is complete, our bones are completely cured and ready to feed.  Also, we are different because we manufacture our own smoked dog bones and ship them directly to you and your dogs.  We keep just enough product on hand to fill orders for a short time.  That provides your dog with the freshest and tastiest treat.  There is no long storing or shelf time involved.
